Finmeccanica is to be a major participant at SAT EXPO 2010, the international exhibition of services, space applications and integrated telecommunications, which will take place for the third consecutive year at the Nuova Fiera di Roma (Rome’s exhibition centre)
Two of the companies present at SAT EXPO will be Finmeccanica's Space Alliance joint ventures with Thales: Telespazio (67% Finmeccanica; 33% Thales), one of the world's leading operators in satellite management and Earth observation services, satellite navigation and the construction of integrated communications networks; and Thales Alenia Space (67% Thales; 33% Finmeccanica), a global leader in telecommunications, Earth observation based on optical and radar technology, defence and security, and science.
