After three editions of the Sustainability Report, this year Finmeccanica publishes its first Certified Sustainability report for the year 2010. 

Compared to the previous documents, this Report is much closer to the accounting principles of standard GRI 3, reaching application level B+, and it has been verified by an external organisation.

In this way we have kept faith with our commitment, made during previous years, to improve the quality and quantity of data and information on our performance and on what we do to protect our staff, the environment and the communities in which we work, as well as to guarantee the economic sustainability of our business by investing in research, development and innovation.

The structure of the Report has also been renewed. In addition to the consolidated section, which deals with sustainability questions and indicators controlled at Group level, there is also a new section with in depth information on each business sector. This has made it possible to give a better picture of the specific nature and considerable heritage of skills and experience that make Finmeccanica a unique company in this field also.
