Sustainability
The route taken
Continuing attention to change in the world around us must form part of a large international group like Finmeccanica. Starting in 2007 we decided to communicate our commitment to the countries and people we work with from day to day, by publishing our first Sustainability Report. We then started to integrate questions of sustainability in all company processes, by developing new processes and forms of behaviour, both at organisational and cultural level.
Starting in 2010, Finmeccanica prepared and published its Certified Sustainability Report, which represents another significant step forwards on the road to continuing development and an increasingly effective dissemination of Corporate Social Responsibility within the Group.
The Certified Sustainability Report 2011, continuing along the lines of the recent past, has allowed improvements both in the processes to identify the numerous best practices highlighted within the Group and in the reporting systems, with particular reference to the non-financial data and information contained that is not dealt with in the Consolidated Financial Statement. This means that within the Finmeccanica Group a virtuous process of internal improvement is becoming stronger and stronger, and is destined to go beyond ordinary accounting activities, to set up and consolidate a genuine sustainability management system.
This is a process to which we are strongly committed, to which the men and women in all the Group's companies are contributing more and more, and which is destined to change Finmeccanica's culture.
