“We consider credibility on financial markets to be one of the leading assets supporting corporate development. We operate in the most transparent manner to give adequate remuneration to our shareholders and lenders.”
Finmeccanica considers it to be in the interests of its shareholders and of the market in general to provide timely and transparent information, so that the perception of the Company is in line with the intrinsic value of its activities.
Our aim is to keep financial analysts, institutional and private investors constantly updated, illustrating the company’s performance levels and the strategic choices made by top management.
In this situation the institutional roadshows, national and international financial conferences, conference calls, one-to-one meetings and visits to our production sites all take on particular significance. They are opportunities to meet and exchange information that have proved particularly helpful in strengthening the bond of trust that binds us to our shareholders.
The questions and subjects brought up by international investors, particularly regarding sustainability, also have growing importance: for example, we are asked what we are doing to combat climate change and to ensure that human rights are respected throughout our supply chain; we are asked whether or not we are actively involved in the production of non-conventional arms or whether we trade with countries that are considered to be “critical”.
These are all questions that until quite recently were considered of marginal importance, whereas now, and increasingly in the future, they will be important elements of assessment for investors who care about sustainability. We provide them, and others, with information on all significant points, without omitting or hiding anything.
This is also, but not only, why we started collecting and collating this type of information some time ago, and publish it every year in the Sustainability Report.
