FINMECCANICA AMONG THE TOP EMPLOYERS OF 2011
Awarded the prestigious Top Employers Italia 2011 certification this year, Finmeccanica has officially joined the group of excellent companies in terms of training, development and human resource management.
In an international and multicultural context like the one in which the Group now operates, caring for talent, and fulfilling a commitment to attract, retain and motivate this talent, are increasingly becoming a daily challenge as well as a means of building competitiveness.
The Top Employers project, now in its third year, uses the rigorous methodology developed by the CRF Institute, the independent international organisation that, since 1991, has analysed and certified virtuous and deserving companies who make the best use of human capital and best practices in the field of HR, publishing an annual report in each of the countries in which it operates (12 countries on 3 continents).
The assessment was carried out according to the strict standards of the Top Employers HR Best Practice Survey, a questionnaire containing 75 questions that surveys HR policies and the respective management methods, and included a number of interviews with representatives of the various target groups in the company, conducted by a reporter from Il Sole 24 Ore. The results of this analysis produced an assessment rating that establishes a scale of excellence from 1 to 5.
The criteria applied this year, which led to 32 Italian companies being rewarded and certified, were: remuneration and benefits, training, development, career opportunities, working conditions and corporate culture.
In particular, Finmeccanica distinguished itself for the following:
- Continuous monitoring of employee satisfaction
- Group culture
- Recognition of merit
- Health and safety at work
- Internationalism
The data confirm the Group’s confidence and the importance of its investment in people, who are the real driving force behind technological, economic and financial development and the key to the successes achieved.
But what makes Finmeccanica a TOP company? What makes the difference is undoubtedly the integrated and international Training and Development system that supports and guides the professional development of the Group’s employees, from young new recruits to senior managers. It acts as a permanent testing “laboratory”, offering each individual the opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally, and allowing the best ones to come to the fore, based on our conviction that “Merit” must increasingly become the yardstick for rewards.
